For many years I always stuck to reading pretty much one type of book. The LDS fictional novels.Though they are good they are slightly boring. The same story different characters in pretty much every book. There are some authors that I do love and read when they came out with a new book. About the time I started listening to books at work I started to open my reading range. My friend had me read Angles and Demons. It was good to read something far different from what I was used to reading. That is also about the time my friend told me about Audible.
I did find that I fell back into my guilty pleasure or the romance genre, but found different versions of romance.
The last 2 years I decided that I want to expand my genre of books even more so I started asking more and more about recommendations and started reading blogs with reading challenges and gave them a try. I found new genres I loved and found some of my favorite books through it.
Some of the genres that I have found I love are:
Mystery/suspense
Historical
Paranormal
Fantasy
I also like reading non-fiction books based on the different wars. Lone Survivor and American Sniper have been some of my more favorite ones.
