Can I just say how much I love audio books. I started listening to them about 5 years ago at work when I found listening to them while working helped me tune out everything around me and focus on work. Since then I have been flying through books.
I'm also very lucky to have a job that allows me to listen while working. In a way I'm being paid to read. I couldn't ask for a better job. That being said I go through books fast. Depending on the length of the book I can go through 3 sometimes 4 a week. Finding about Audible and the Overdrive library apps has been great. The bad part I listen to my 2 books a month from audible a lot faster then i get the credits so that is when the Overdrive comes in handy. I save my audible credits for books series I really love and will read more then once and use the library for books that sound good but had not great reviews or books friends recommended to me. The bad thing with the library it can take weeks to get a book I want, and the selection is somewhat limited.
All in all I just love reading. I love the thrill of diving into a new book, getting a character attachment, which I do, and escaping my reality into a fictional reality. I also love reading to learn new things, getting a different point of a situation that I didn't original see or believe, and overall just the fun and excitement a book brings.
